Overview: Co-starter at wide receiver with Kevin Youngblood in 2000…gives the Tigers experience at wide receiver, he is a veteran of 26 games, seven as a starter and over 600 offensive snaps…had a solid spring of 2001 capped by the Spring Game where he caught five passes for 75 yards…started five games at midseason, he suffered a tendon injury in a finger that required surgery after the regular season... missed the South Carolina game and the Gator Bowl against Virginia Tech with that injury...averaged 50 plays a game when he was healthy and had nine catches for the season, all came in a three-game period...Clemson's top receiver in the win over Virginia with four catches for 64 yards...followed that with 2-26 against Duke and 3-31 against NC State...played 96 snaps against NC State, he missed just one play in that contest...started five games in a row from the Virginia game through the North Carolina contest on October 28th...has increased his reception total by four each year he has been at Clemson…earned his degree from Clemson in speech and communications this past May…high school teammate of former Clemson All-American Robert Carswell, and red-shirt junior offensive lineman Gary Byrd...from the same city that produced former Tiger All-American and All-Pro NFL kicker Chris Gardocki, who will be inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame on September 15.
In 1999: Played in 10 of the 12 games, two as a starter in 1999...had a 20-yard catch in a key situation in the 1999 win at South Carolina...started and played 35 plays in the Peach Bowl against Mississippi State and had one catch for nine yards...played two plays the first five games of the 1999 season, then played 171 over the last seven, an average of 24.4 plays per game... continued to show steady improvement, especially at the end of the 1999 season...had one catch in each of the last five games...backup to Rod Gardner much of the season, he did get a start against Duke and in the bowl game...played season high 44 snaps in that Duke game and had 18-yard reception...also had 14-yard catch in 27 plays against Georgia Tech
In 1998: Reserve wide receiver who caught one pass for eight yards, it took place at Duke...played in eight of the 11 games and played a total of 72 snaps, 9 per game....missed only the Furman, North Carolina and Georgia Tech contests his freshman year...had outstanding first spring scrimmage of 1999 with four catches for 82 yards
In 1997: Red-shirted the 1997 season as a first-year freshman...had fine spring of 1998 to help him get to second team on the depth chart, including the spring game when he caught a pair of touchdown passes, one from 45 yards and one from 18 yards.
